The HOPE Center is a holistic approach to empowering orphans, underprivileged kids, vulnerable youth, and village pastors. It is situated on a two-acre property in Mt. Barclay, Liberia.
SERVE Africa is seeking partnership with God-loving persons, who are driven by passion for the suffering, to help transform and improve the lives of impoverished children in Liberia. The forth-going is a description of our current and most prominent initiative, the Hope Center Project.
BACKGROUND: Of three West African countries hit by Ebola in 2015, Liberia was the worst affected with at least 5,000 recorded deaths. In September 2014, UNICEF reported that nearly 4,000 children have lost both parents. The report also revealed that thousands of children would continue to live under devastating circumstances due to the loss of their parents. Addressing this need has been a matter of dire concern to many, including SERVE Africa. In 2015, SERVE Africa launched an outreach which has been helping to partially restore the lives of 50 kids victimized by Ebola.
However, in an effort to improve and increase the quality of services being provided to these orphans, SERVE Africa has embarked on building a HOPE Center (residential facilities).
FUNCTION: The Center will improve life quality for orphans and underprivileged children through providing access to family, education, spiritual support, and healthcare.

SERVICES:
Home and family support – the center will serve as a home while providing presence, care, comfort, and physical and spiritual support to orphans.
School/Life Skills – formal classroom education and vocational skills will be provided to hundreds of children and youth, both residential based and those from the neighboring communities.
Spiritual Support – a church will be established at the center to enhance spiritual development.
Healthcare - a clinic will be built to serve residents, students, and deserving neighbors.
Short-term Pastor's Training - the center will provide accommodation and training facilities for field based church planters and pastors.
Mission Teams - the center will provide accommodation for short term and long term mission teams.
TARGET BENEFICIARIES
Orphans – these are kids who have lost their parents due to Ebola and other disease conditions.
Underprivileged children and impoverished youth from the communities.
Village Pastors - these are poor and uneducated pastors who are faithfully serving.
BENEFITS AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Fifty orphans will regain their lost lives and will have a new home and a new family.
At least 500 impoverished children and youth will receive free and subsidized education.
Hundreds of children will, routinely at age 20, smoothly transition into independent life and become godly citizens and productive assets to the society.
Up to 50 men and women will gain access to full employment opportunities.
