We provide education (and scholarships), healthcare support, shelter, and food assistance to 500 orphans and vulnerable children in Liberia. Our goal is to reach thousands of kids.
Serve Africa is building a home and a school that will meet these kids' needs - developmental, spiritual, and educational needs. The kids lost their parents due to Ebola, Malaria, Typhoid, or Cholera or some other common disease conditions. Others are from homes that have suffered from extreme poverty.
With a home and a school, these kids will gain access to ideal learning and living facilities, as well as services that will guarantee their chances for full restoration.
OUR THREE-FOLD ORPHAN CARE PROGRAMS
Partnering with private and public schools, the enabling environment and opportunities are being created for orphans, disadvantaged children and youth to acquire quality education. We believe education is a key factor in our fight against poverty. With education, these children can now have a second chance in life to break free from the cycle of extreme poverty.
Serve Africa and its partners help with school supplies and tuition fees. Five hundred children are currently benefiting from our scholarship program. With funding, we seek to pull thousands of children out of poverty through educational empowerment.
With the average person in the country living below $1.25 a day, hunger remains a significant challenge. Serve Africa believes it's unfair for children to sleep hungry and that this situation must not continue unabated.
Serve Africa is presently feeding 500 hungry children twice a week. This number represents a small fraction of the number of hungry children who stop at the Hope Center weekly to ask for food.
Another observable characteristic of an orphan experience is living through common diseases like malaria, typhoid, chloride, etc. It is important to us that the medical needs of the kids be addressed promptly and regularly to enable them stay in school, learn, and grow.
The average annual costs of scholarship and living expenses per child is $300. Your one-time or recurring gift of $25 is highly essential for improving the lives of these kids.
We gladly accept church and organizational sponsorships.
