We provide educational, health, and food assistance to 75 orphans and vulnerable children in Liberia. Our goal is to reach as many as 200 kids by next year. Also, we have planned to build a home and a school that will meet their developmental, spiritual and educational needs. In most cases, the kids lost their parents through diseases like Ebola, Malaria, Typhoid, or Cholera. Others come from homes that have suffered from abject poverty. They currently live with a community member or a relative. However, due to lack of income and job scarcity in the country, these kids and their care providers are barely surviving, thus compounding the challenges they undergo daily.
However, with a home and a school, these kids will gain access to ideal facilities and services that can guarantee their chances of having their lives fully restored and transformed.
OUR THREE-FOLD PROGRAMS
Partnering with Kids Foundation Academy, Charles B. Holmes Academy, Amos Tabios Institute, LCMI School, Larpea Inland Academy, and several other learning institutions, the enabling environment and opportunities are being created for orphans to acquire education. SERVE Africa helps with school supplies and tuition.
With the average person in the country living below $1.25 a day, hunger remains a significant challenge. It is SERVE Africa's goal to ensure that each child eat a decent meal every day.
Another observable characteristic of an orphan experience is living through common diseases like malaria, malnutrition, chloride, etc. It is important to us that the medical needs of the kids be addressed promptly and regularly to enable them stay in school and grow.
Your one-time annual gift of $200 or monthly recurring gift of $25 is highly essential for improving the lives of these kids.
