SERVE Africa is teaming up with Goserv Global and Church of the Way for a mission trip to Liberia this July. We will serve 100 orphans, train two groups of 25 village pastors, and carry out construction projects at the HOPE Center. These orphans are some of the most disadvantaged children in the world. They need empowerment of many kinds, including healthcare support, faith formation, feeding, clothing, shelter, skills development, and education so that they too can get a chance of becoming successful. Our goal is to meet these needs as the Lord provides.
MEANWHILE, in response to the sporadic expansion of "Prosperity Gospel" across Africa, we have made it a goal to equip village pastors with basic skills and knowledge needed to remain faithful in preaching and teaching the undiluted message of the Cross. These village pastors have not acquired any prior theological education. And due to growing ministry and family responsibilities, they cannot afford to relocate for studies even if they had the opportunity to do so. Thus, the best way to help them is to serve them where they are. And that's exactly what Serve Africa has committed to doing.
A third goal for the trip is to help with ongoing construction projects at the HOPE Center in Mt. Barclay, Liberia. The Center, which comprises of a boarding school, a church, and a clinic, seeks to provide holistic empowerment for orphans and underprivileged kids.
HOWEVER, we are 60% away from reaching our financial goal for this year's trip. We need funding to cover two terms of pastors' training (50 pastors) and two outreach programs to orphans. Funding will be applied to transportation, feeding, lodging, and training materials. It will be very kind of you to partner with us by making a generous donation to enable us reach our remaining financial target of $9,000. Thank you for your faithfulness in bringing hope to others, especially those in need.
